Lab Facilities

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering is well equipped with high end design and analysis laboratories which are used extensively by the students and faculty members for their curriculum and research activities. The following is the list of the Labs,

Analog Circuits Lab
Digital and Communication Lab
Microprocessor and Microcontroller Lab
VLSI Design Lab


Analog Circuits laboratory focuses on training the students in basic electronic circuits and designing. The students are trained for assembling the components on bread board, designing and constructing different electronics circuits etc. The Lab consists of different basic electronic devices like Diode, BJT, JFET, MOSFET etc., for conducting experiments relevant to electronic circuits. This lab is adequately equipped with major devices for signal generation like function generators and measuring devices like Cathode Ray Oscilloscope (CRO), Digital Storage Oscilloscope (DSO), Decade Inductance box, Voltmeters, Ammeters, multi meters etc., There are ten working tables with single phase supplies are available for conducting the experiments.


Digital and Communication laboratory focuses on training the students in both Digital electronics and analog communication. The students are trained for constructing the Digital IC circuits, circuits of different analog communication techniques etc. The Laboratory is equipped with the following equipments.

The Microprocessor and Microcontroller Laboratory aims in inculcating the knowledge of programming skills by executing various programs like arithmetic operations, code conversions, searching and sorting algorithms studied in the Microprocessor and Microcontroller course. The lab is also used by the students to interface the microprocessor and microcontroller to various peripheral devices to generate waveforms, perform A/D and D/A conversions, Keyboard and Display Interface, Stepper motor Interface, DC Motor Speed Control. The Laboratory is equipped with the following equipments.

Computers with software’s such as MASM and Keil
8085 µP Trainer Kit
8051 µC Trainer Kit
DAC and ADC interfacing cards
Stepper motor interfacing Card
Matrix keyboard and seven segment display interface kit


VLSI Design Lab is equipped with the following equipments to cope with the present day trends and technology followed in industries; students are imparted knowledge in the following software and hardware.

Digital Storage Oscilloscopes
PIC microcontroller kits 
Software Packages like Edwin Xp (SPICE) and XILINX ISE.
